Nearly there…

I’m HUGELY excited that Vessel Ceramics will be opening its Studio doors very soon.

The best advice I had when starting this project was not to open until I was ready.  Thank goodness I listened!  There have been numerous ‘spanners thrown into the works’ including rocks falling out of the gable end, water where it wasn’t wanted, unsafe electrics and plumbing and drainage needing attention.  I’m relieved to say it’s all sorted and the cleaning and decorating is mostly done.  All this physical work has kept me from paperwork and keeping you up to date - sorry.

There is still loads to do and the shop and studio will continue to be a work in progress for a while. The second coat of floor paint is nearly complete, which means I’ll be able to bring in equipment that’s been in storage and decide how to fit it all in next week.

The shop/gallery will be carefully curated and I have started with these gorgeous cards by Mary Thorp at RAW MIXTURE. Allie Sylvester has also promised some work and I’ll be asking for work from some special ceramics friends too.

Moretonhampstead is a lovely, friendly town with lots of creatives and great eating out options. It’s definitely worth a visit and I look forward to welcoming you. Please note that for the moment, the studio will be closed Sunday, Monday and Wednesdays (I’m still teaching).
