I was lucky enough to be included in the group of Green Maker Initiative demonstrators hosted by Make SW at Bovey Tracey Craft Festival. Big thanks to the team for organizing, to Laura for coffee, Flora for feeding me strawberries and to fellow craft demonstrators Viv Turner Basketmaker and PJWWoodworks.
The best part for me, was meeting so many lovely exhibitors and visitors. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who came, for great conversations, signing up for emails and to all the children who made clay hedgehogs. It was truly uplifting & I really look forward to seeing you in the studio!

MORETONHAMPSTEAD’S SECRET SHEDS event is now just next week Sat 8th – Sun 10th July 10am – 4pm. £5 Weekend Tickets (under 14s free) are available from the Visitor Information Centre & Green Hill Arts and in the Town Square on the weekend itself. I’ll be demonstrating throwing on the wheel at regular intervals and am looking forward to welcoming everyone into the studio.

We have beautiful jewellery from Rebecca Furze and I’ve had an exciting delivery from Lucy Spink from her Lichen Collection (below).
On our walls are works from Allie Sylvester and Mary Harold. They and Mary from Raw Mixture have beautiful cards for sale.
STUDIO NEWS:
I’m delighted to have welcomed the talented Sarah Shorthouse to the studio as a full member. Sarah’s vessels are wheel-thrown in porcelain and stoneware with oxide additions. The thrown form is then cut and re-assembled, often in an instinctive and intuitive way.
